The Mississippi State baseball team continued their winning ways on Friday afternoon in the opening game of the Frisco Classic. It wasn’t an easy win, as the Bulldogs trailed the Sam Houston State Bearkats by two runs after SHSU took the lead in the 7th, but the Bulldogs scored the final three runs to win 5-4.
Ethan Small, the Mississippi State baseball junior pitcher and ace of the pitching staff, continued his strong start to the year, even if he isn’t getting much in the way of run support. Small pitched six innings, gave up two earned runs and seven hits, and struck out six.
