Mississippi State, assistant coach Scott Sallach disagree on exit

Mississippi State says that former tight ends coach Scott Sallach left the school on his own, but that’s not the way he sees it.

The program and former assistant have had an apparently messy split turn public on Twitter after the school announced Thursday that Sallach had left the program, as reported by Joel Coleman of the Starkville Daily News.

By Friday, though, Sallach provided an emphatic rebuttal to that view of the situation:

I'm not pursuing "other opportunities" I am good coach & was not wanted where I was.
