Though the 2018 recruiting cycle is in full swing, Mississippi State added a player to its 2017 signing class Tuesday.
Tight end Powers Warren committed Tuesday and plans to enroll at Mississippi State later this summer.
“I’ve been talking to Coach (D.J.) Looney, the tight ends coach, for about the last week and a half,” Warren told GN. “Early on, they said they were thinking about offering me a full scholarship.”
Warren (6 feet 3, 221 pounds) played his senior season at Minnetonka (Minn.) High. He enrolled at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., and planned to participate in the school’s post-graduate program this fall.
