Maroon rallies for four runs in final at bat

STARKVILLE – Things certainly didn’t look promising for the Maroon team to take a two-game lead in Game 2 of the Bulldog World Series Friday afternoon.

Maroon had just one infield hit entering the top of the seventh and final inning and trailed their Gray counterparts 2-0. But Maroon erupted for four runs in the frame for a 4-2 win.

Brent Rooker got things going with a solo home run to left to leadoff the big inning for Maroon.

Following two walks by Parker Ford, Gray made a pitching change to Paul Young with one away.
