Market will miss rest of the season

Mississippi State safety Kendrick Market saw his career come to and end this past weekend against Texas A&M.

Market tore the anterior crucial ligament on the first play of the second quarter and will miss the rest of his senior season.

“Unfortunately that was probably the last play of his career,” said MSU coach Dan Mullen. “It’s always a shame. You never know when it’s going to end for a young man.”

Market battled back from a ruptured Achilles in last year’s Egg Bowl and had started four of the Bulldogs five games this season.
