Mississippi State’s pregame festivities belonged to Dak Prescott before the final home game of his Bulldog career. The Egg Bowl however, was taken over by Ole Miss’ Chad Kelly.
Kelly passed for 236 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 74 yards and another score as the No. 18 Rebels topped the No. 21 Bulldogs 38-27 in front of 62,265 fans at Davis Wade Stadium.
“(Kelly) made some nice plays, scrambled around and kept some plays alive,” MSU head coach Dan Mullen said. “That’s what we knew that he did coming into the game.
