Jake Mangum Sends Mississippi State Baseball to 14 Inning Win over Louisiana-Monroe

For 13 innings, neither Mississippi State nor Louisiana-Monroe could push a run across the plate, and with two outs in the bottom of the 14th, it looked like the scoreless game could continue. However, Jake Mangum sent everyone home with a two-out RBI single to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 victory over the Warhawks in Mississippi State's first game at MGM Park in Biloxi.

In the 14th inning, Ryan Gridley hit a one-out double and advanced to third on an error. He would later score on Mangum's single, his only hit of the contest. ULM limited the Bulldogs to just seven hits, and Gridley was the only Bulldog with multiple hits in the contest.
