In 2015, the Bulldogs finished the season dead last in the SEC. Through four SEC series in 2016, the Bulldogs have equaled the SEC win total from a season ago and have made a case that there isn’t a better team in the country than the Mississippi State baseball team.
The rankings do not have the Bulldogs at number one so far. That has gone almost primarily to the Miami Hurricanes, but of the polls released so far, you only have to go one or two spots to find MSU.
