Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott has been linked with the Dallas Cowboys since the Senior Bowl in January, and he reportedly had a private meeting in Dallas with Cowboys officials on Tuesday.
The Dallas Morning News reported that Prescott is the seventh quarterback to meet with the Cowboys in Dallas; the newspaper pointed out that fully one-fourth of the Cowboys’ known pre-draft visitors have been quarterbacks. Dallas almost certainly will draft one to back up Tony Romo.
The newspaper said the other quarterbacks are North Dakota State’s Carson Wentz, California’s Jared Goff, Memphis’ Paxton Lynch, Penn State’s Christian Hackenberg, Michigan State’s Connor Cook and North Carolina State’s Jacoby Brissett.
