Big things are expected of Mississippi State’s Dakota Hudson this spring.
The right-handed pitcher was picked as a third team Preaseason All-American by Perfect Game on Monday.
Hudson made 17 relief appearances last year for the Bulldogs notching a 1-1 record with a 4.32 earned run average, 26 strikeouts and 11 walks in 16 2/3 innings. He enjoyed a stellar summer finishing fifth in the Cape Cod League with a 1.69 ERA and 41 strikeouts.
Perfect Game also ranks the 6-foot-5, 215-pounder from Dunlap, Tennessee as the No. 13 college prospect for the 2016 MLB Draft.
