Hudson named National Player of the Week

For the third time this season, a Mississippi State player has been picked as the Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week.

For Dakota Hudson, it is the second time he has received the honor. The junior right-handed pitcher tossed a complete game victory against Ole Miss last Friday with a career-high 11 strikeouts. He did not allow an earned run or walk and scattered four hits.

Hudson was also named National Player of the Week after pitching a complete game at Vanderbilt two weeks ago. Jack Kruger is the other Diamond Dog to receive the award this spring.
