Mississippi State’s Dakota Hudson has been selected as the SEC’s Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season.
Hudson earned the win last Friday for the Bulldogs against Ole Miss by tossing a complete game. The junior right-hander did not allow an earned run or walk, struck out a career-high 11 and scattered four hits.
Hudson improved to 4-1 on the year with a league-best 0.92 ERA, 56 strikeouts and 18 walks in 48 2/3 innings. He has not allowed an earned run in his last 30 2/3 innings of work.
Hudson shared the SEC honor with Georgia’s Robert Tyler, who was one out away from a no-hitter against Alabama.
