STARKVILLE – For fourth-ranked Mississippi State to win its first SEC championship since 1989 the Bulldogs will need some other things to fall into place around the league this weekend.
But Thursday night MSU’s focus was solely on the task at hand, shutting out Arkansas 7-0 for its ninth straight victory.
“I’m going to check scores on Saturday but for now we’ve got to take care of our own business,” said MSU skipper John Cohen. “But I didn’t hear anybody on our bench talking about any of that tonight and nobody was running back to check their phones.
