DALLAS -- South Carolina leads Mississippi State 36-26 at the half of the national championship game at America Airlines Center.
A look at how the first half played out.
How the half was won: South Carolina carried over the outstanding defense it played in the second half of the semifinal win over Stanford into Sunday's first half. The Gamecocks disrupted the start of every Bulldog offensive set with Bianca Cuevas-Moore applying extra ball pressure on Morgan William. On the other end South Carolina was consistently able to get dribble penetration that Mississippi State was not.
