The USA today acquired the SEC’s tax return for the 2014-2015 fiscal year which showed the league generated revenues in the amount of $527.4 million. Of that total, $311 million was itemized to TV/radio rights fees according to CBSSports.com.
Which begs the question: how much of the $311.8 million is the SEC Network responsible for?
While this figure is a closely guarded secret within the SEC and ESPN (I did receive confirmation of the total we’ll reach below from a high ranking athletic department official at an SEC school), we can ball-park it with a degree of certainty.
