Mississippi State travels to BYU for a Friday night contest in what looks to be a must-win situation if the Bulldogs want to even think about sniffing bowl eligibility this year.
Mississippi State (2-3) has been to a school-record six consecutive bowls, but that streak looks to be in serious jeopardy in 2016. After the game at BYU, there are road games with Kentucky, Alabama and Ole Miss and home games with Texas A&M and Arkansas, as well as FCS opponent Samford.
BYU is a 7.5-point favorite, and the Bulldogs may not be favored in any game from here on out except Samford.
