The Georgia Bulldogs are making a midseason change at mascot as their bulldog dubbed Uga IX retires.
UGA announced on Thursday that their bulldog Uga IX, also known as Russ, is set for retirement and will be replaced by another English bulldog.
Uga IX is 11 years old and has served as the live mascot for Georgia for the past 38 games. He also served as the interim-mascot for 25 games during the 2009-2012 season following the deaths of his half-brother Uga VII and Uga VIII.
Uga IX will be replaced by Que, who will be named Uga X.
