Mississippi State announced the additions of the first members of its 2016 class in Copiah-Lincoln defensive end Tre Brown and cornerback Lashard Durr on national signing day.
But that was not the only recruiting news the Bulldogs made on Wednesday as 2017 four-star quarterback Keytaon Thompson committed to play for Dan Mullen.
Thompson is rated as the nation’s No. 8 dual-threat quarterback and the 10th best prospect in Louisiana according to 247Sports.com. The 6-foot-4, 210-pounder from New Orleans also has offers from Arizona State, Cincinnati, Colorado State, Florida, Illinois, LSU, Miami, Tennessee, Texas Tech and UCF.
