Four-star Lashley commits, changes mind

West Point four-star offensive lineman Scott Lashley committed to Mississippi State while on an unofficial visit Monday afternoon.

Hours later however, Lashley backed off his pledge to the Bulldogs his coach Chris Chambless told Bulldawgs247.com.

The 6-foot-6, 300-pound tackle is rated the state’s No. 4 overall prospect and 10th rated tackle nationally. Lashley also owns offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Arkansas State, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Southern, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana-Monroe, Memphis, Nebraska, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, Troy and Wisconsin.

Lashley’s decommitment leaves MSU with nine members in its 2016 class which ranks 18th nationally and eighth in the Southeastern Conference.
