GAINESVILLE, Fla., – Top-ranked Florida put an end to Dakota Hudson‘s school-record streak of 34 2/3 innings without allowing an earned run in the fifth frame.

The Gators got to the Mississippi State ace scoring five runs on seven hits in the big inning and took Game 1 of the series 8-2 on Friday. It was the first Game 1 the fifth-ranked Bulldogs have lost in conference play.
