Five Mississippi State players received recognition from Phil Steele on his All-American and All-Southeastern Conference teams.
Senior quarterback Dak Prescott was picked to both receiving a first team All-SEC nod and also earned a third team spot on the All-American squad. Prescott completed 66.9 percent of his passes for 3,413 yards, 25 touchdowns and four interceptions while also leading the team with 148 rushing attempts for 541 yards and 10 more scores.
Junior wide receiver De’Runnya Wilson joined Prescott as a
first team All-SEC selection. Wilson caught 55 passes for 822 yards and led the team with nine touchdowns.
