Ole Miss and Mississippi State meet Saturday for the 113th time. Ole Miss leads the series 63-43-6, but there has been amazing parity over the past 25 years: Mississippi State leads 13-12 in that span.

No. 5, 2008: Ole Miss 45, Mississippi State 0

In Houston Nutt’s first Egg Bowl and Sylvester Croom’s last one, the Rebels responded after losing the previous season in Starkville. Remember the Derek Pegues punt return? If you don’t, I’m sure Ed Orgeron does: That 2007 loss was his final game as coach at Ole Miss.
