Mississippi State (22-17, 6-10) drops the Friday night game against the Florida Gators (29-10, 10-6) by a score of 6-3. The Gators set the tone early with a 4 run first inning, highlighted by a Josh Tobias 3 run triple. The Bulldogs would have a 3 run inning of their own in the 4th inning, getting two out RBI’s from both Wes Rea and John Holland. But the Bulldogs were held at bay the rest of the night due to a complete game from Florida RHP Logan Shore, who gave up 3 runs on 6 hits.
In a game where the Bulldogs really needed a great outing from its starting pitching, Lucas Laster was unable to get a quality start.
