Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen has been mentioned as a possible NFL coaching candidate. He admitted Tuesday that the idea intrigues him.
He joined WGFX-FM in Nashville on Tuesday from the American Football Coaches Association convention at the Opryland Hotel when he was asked about the “coaching in the NFL” scenario.
“I think I would,” Mullen said, as per show host/ESPN.com writer Paul Kuharsky. “I don’t know when a time would be.”
Mullen said he has not spoken with any NFL teams about making the move in 2017. He also acknowledges that his success developing quarterback Dak Prescott likely would be a reason for possible connections.
