Dallas’ offensive braintrust reportedly was impressed by Prescott, and Prescott told reporters at this week’s NFL Scouting Combine that he has had conversations with Dallas officials, specifically mentioning Cowboys quarterback coach Wade Wilson.
“Coach Wilson just talked about what they expect me to do if I come in there, if it’s to be in the backup role behind Tony Romo, how do I plan on approaching it and then just talking ball, so they’ve been very productive meetings,” said Prescott, who grew up in Louisiana as a Cowboys fans.
“He told me their picks and told me that they’re thinking about getting a quarterback with one of those picks.
