Could well-traveled CB Shaq Wiggins end up at Mississippi State instead of Tennessee?

Cornerback Shaq Wiggins has walked a long, winding road as a college player, from Georgia to Louisville to — at least for now — Tennessee. But Wiggins might be on the move again.

He announced last month that he would play at Tennessee as a grad transfer this season. But Wiggins visited Mississippi State over the weekend and could end up playing for the Bulldogs this fall.

Mississippi State’s biggest selling point — even more than playing time — might be the presence of new defensive coordinator Todd Grantham. Wiggins has played all of his football under Grantham at his previous stops, first at Georgia (as a freshman in 2013), then at Louisville (in 2015 and ’16 after siting out 2014).
