It's time to decipher the clues the NCAA tournament selection committee left in its final top-16 reveal Monday night.
The first two reveals indicated strength of schedule and big wins were important deciding factors as the committee picked through the small differences among the best teams in the country.
This one illustrated more specific determining factors.
Maryland has no chance at a No. 1 seed: This is, of course, coupled with the loss the Terrapins suffered at Ohio State on Monday, but by seeding Maryland at No. 7 even before the Buckeyes' win, the committee was essentially saying the Terps needed a bunch of help to elevate all the way to the top line.
