To paraphrase Jake Taylor in the movie “Major League”, there’s only one thing left for Mississippi State to do – win the whole (bleeping) thing.
The Bulldogs, for the fourth straight year, clinched a berth in the Super Regional round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday night. No other school in the country can make the claim that they’ve been among the last 16 teams standing for each of the last four seasons. Only the boys from Starkville that have turned June baseball into merely an expected part of the schedule.
It’s quite remarkable what these Bulldogs have done.
