Clayborn named to Rimington Trophy watch list

Mississippi State senior Jamaal Clayborn has been named to the watch list for the Rimington Trophy, which is presented annually to the nation’s top collegiate center.

Clayborn has appeared in 23 games during his Bulldog career including 12 starts last season. The 6-foot-4, 315-pounder from Jackson played a team-high 848 snaps during the 2015 regular season.

Clayborn is one of eight centers from the Southeastern Conference selected to the watch list.

The Rimington Trophy will be presented on Jan. 14, 2017. Former Alabama center Ryan Kelly claimed the award this past year.
