Jalen Mayden, one of the top rated quarterbacks in the 2018 class, has committed to Mississippi State over home-state Baylor, another SEC school in Tennessee, and Louisville on Friday evening.
Mayden, a native of Sachse High School outside of Dallas, has been Mississippi State’s top priority at the QB position for a while now and has rumored to be on commit watch. He announced his college decision in front of his teammates and friends at his spring game on Friday.
Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing in at 215 pounds, the Texas native possesses the needed size that Dan Mullen prefers his quarterback to have in his offense.
