Earlier this week, cornerback Taveze Calhoun was representing Mississippi State at SEC Media Days in Hoover, Ala.
On Thursday, Calhoun and his teammates were visiting patients at Blair E. Batson’s Children’s Hosptial in Jackson. It is this type of community service that landed the senior from Morton a spot on the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team.
The Good Works Team recognizes college football players who exemplify a commitment to community service and volunteering.
Calhoun participates in reading programs several elementary schools in the Starkville area and helped set up FEMA rescue shelters when tornadoes ravaged the area last year.
