Bulldogs overcome weather and Tigers to secure seventh win

Mississippi State survived a first half monsoon that severely hampered their offensive effectiveness to notch a solid 31-13 road victory over the Missouri Tigers. With the win, the Bulldogs advance to 7-2 overall, 3-2 in SEC play.

MSU started fast on its opening drive, with Dak Prescott throwing a 36 yard TD to Fred Ross that gave State a quick 7-0 lead. But then the torrential rains began shortly thereafter and the Bulldog offense began to struggle.

With the rain making it difficult to throw and the MSU run game being largely ineffective, the Tigers inched closer with a pair of field goals to cut the margin to 7-6.
