Wednesday Missississippi State landed the commitment of 6-foot-10, 240-pound center Schnider Herard. The Plano, Texas native becomes the fourth four-star commitment for the Bulldogs in 2016.
Herard held a dozen offers and chose MSU over finalists Kansas, Purdue and Texas Tech. He is rated as the nation’s 43rd overall player, fifth-best center and No. 7 prospect in Texas by 247Sports.com.
Herard has guided Prestonwood Christian to back-to-back class 5A state titles. As a junior last season, Herard led the Lions averaging 16.
