Bulldogs jump out early, win big over Trojans

Making his first-ever start in place of the injured Kendrick Market, Mississippi State redshirt freshman safety Brandon Bryant charged into the Troy backfield, sacked Trojans quarterback Brandon Silvers and forced a fumble. When MSU defensive tackle Nelson Adams jumped on the loose ball in the end zone for the Bulldogs’ second touchdown in the game’s first couple of minutes, the message had been sent. This wasn’t going to be a fun day for the Trojans.
Mississippi State used a dominant defensive first half to pave the way to a 45-17 victory over Troy at Davis Wade Stadium.
