Bulldogs add juco tight end

Mississippi State dipped into the state’s deep junior college ranks to add another tight end on Friday.

East Central tight end Jordan Thomas became the Bulldogs’ 16th commitment choosing MSU over offers from Memphis, N.C. State, Texas State and Troy.

The 6-foot-6, 275-pounder is originally from Sumrall and has caught 16 passes for 207 yards and three touchdowns. Thomas and the Warriors open the MACJC Playoffs at Northwest on Saturday.

Thomas is the third tight end to pledge to the Bulldogs in 2016 joining Dontea Jones and Christian Roberson.
