Bulldogs’ 2017 football schedule released

Mississippi State has a tough two-game SEC road swing at Georgia and Auburn at the end of September that could ultimately dictate how the 2017 season will go.

Those two games are part of three straight conference dates the Bulldogs will face in the first month after opening league play at home against LSU.

The Bulldogs will get to break in against two non-conference foes hosting FCS opponent Charleston Southern in the season opener and then traveling down to Louisiana Tech, where MSU lost in 2008.

State’s longest treks of the season will be to Texas A&M and Arkansas as opposed to trips to BYU and UMass this year.
