Following last year’s #3 vs. #2 matchup, both teams come into Saturday’s game with a loss already in hand and playing in a de facto elimination game in the SEC West.
The big news coming into the game from the Auburn side is the benching of pre-season Heisman favorite Jeremy Johnson. Johnson’s decision-making has been so poor to begin the season that Coach Gus Malzahn has no other option than for someone new.
