Ben Howland’s first season is off to a 7-5 start before heading into SEC play.
I’ll admit that I was way off on this year’s basketball team. I thought with a handful of seniors, a five-star freshman and a renewed energy in the program under Ben Howland they’d soar to 20+ wins and an NCAA berth. Well, SEC play doesn’t start until Wednesday (vs. A&M) but I can already see that won’t happen.
The nucleus of Craig Sword, Gavin Ware and Fred Thomas have continued to struggle winning games. It almost seems as if we could wash our hands of that group we’ll be good to go with the top 10 class coming in next year.
