It was a back and forth ballgame in fifth and final game of the Bulldog World Series on Wednesday afternoon.
The intrasquad scrimmage was tied on three different occasions until Gray first baseman Jacob Barfield changed that with one swing of the bat in the top of the seventh. Barfield belted a three-run home run over the left field wall off Cole Gordon to give Gray a 9-6 victory.
“Nate Lowe hit some balls hard, obviously Barfield hit a ball a long way and Gordon hit the ball really, really hard so there was some really good offense in this game,” said MSU skipper John Cohen.
