There’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that Anthony Dixon is one of the greatest to ever wear Maroon and White. He’s broken a multitude of records and is one of the best running backs to ever play for the Mississippi State football team. Like Nick Fitzgerald, his senior season started with a one game suspension.
That’s right. For those that don’t remember, Anthony Dixon missed the first game of his incredible senior year. That year, Dixon ran for 1391 yards and 12 touchdowns off of 257 carries. He averaged a very notable 126 yards per game.
