Allen’s home run propels No. 5 Mississippi State past Texas A&M 8-7 in 12 innings

STARKVILLE, Miss. — Senior Tanner Allen delivered a walk-off home run in the 12th inning as the No. 5 Bulldogs defeated Texas A&M 8-7 on Friday night in the first game of a three-game series at Dudy Noble Field.

With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 30-10 (12-7 SEC), while the Aggies fall to 24-20 (5-14 SEC).

MSU compiled 14 hits but left 15 runners stranded. Allen led the way with four hits, three runs and two RBIs. Senior Rowdey Jordan, junior Luke Hancock and graduate student Scotty Dubrule each recorded two hits apiece. Sophomore Logan Tanner finished with one hit, three RBIs and one run.
