Mississippi State quarterback Nick Fitzgerald could have been unassuming as he stepped into the role left vacant by Dak Prescott. He has an arm that places him in the middle of the pack among SEC quarterbacks, he’s a sophomore and he’s replacing a Bulldogs legend.
Yet as Fitzgerald’s first regular season as a starter winds down, his legs are doing the most to draw people’s attentions.
So far this season, the sophomore signal caller has rushed for 839 yards and eight touchdowns to lead Mississippi State both on the ground, as well as in the passing game.
