A Tough Year in Baton Rouge

The last 10-12 months haven’t been the best of times in Baton Rouge. There has a lot of heartache, scary situations and bizarre events.

Last November, LSU’s board of regents was all set to fire Les Miles as soon as the regular season ended. Their plans were made public, so after a ton of backlash and a win over Texas A&M they recanted and Miles remained the head coach.

In February, Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards threatened to cancel the LSU football season due to the state’s large deficit. At the time, he said the school would run out of money on April 30th and have to stop classes.
