The NFL’s list of football’s top young players is out. It’s celebration time in Baton Rouge and head-scratching time if you happen to be Dak Prescott.
The NFL included 12 players from the SEC, including four LSU Tigers, on its list of the top 26 players under age 25, but omitted the former Mississippi State star despite his sensational rookie season with the Dallas Cowboys.
Instead, the NFL.com ranking selected the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Jameis Winston as the quarterback to represent the team, which consists exclusively of players who will be 24 or younger on the league’s opening weekend in 2017.
