Each week this season, I will be taking a look at a game played in prior years with our upcoming opponent. Granted, it may not be as exciting as looking forward to this weekend’s game, but please remember that it is history and all of us need to remember our history.
Our history with South Alabama is very short, as the Jaguars have only been participating as a D-1 football since 2011. USA launched its football program in 2009 and joined the Sun Belt conference as a full fledged member in 2013. Joey Jones, the program’s first and only head coach, is beginning his eighth season with the Jaguars.
