Ole Miss entered the 2016 season with questions about its offensive line. Yet despite the second-half collapse against Florida State in the 45-34 loss in Orlando, some of those questions seem resolved.
The Rebels knew the loss of Laremy Tunsil would hurt but junior Rod Taylor and freshman Greg Little contained the talented Florida State defensive line and protected quarterback Chad Kelly’s blind side the entire first half. Ole Miss led 28-6 in the second quarter.
“Rod (Taylor) and Greg (Little) played well and I was pleased,” Rebels coach Hugh Freeze said.
In light of the line’s inexperience, Freeze said the performance showed the unit is growing.
