There will be a lot of good individual matchups in Saturday’s Iron Bowl between No. 1 Alabama and No. 13 Auburn. But the one I’m going to be watching the most will be Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin vs. Auburn defensive coordinator Kevin Steele.
Both of these pros are very much on top of their games.
Kiffin has done extraordinary work in 2016, reconfiguring Alabama’s offense to take advantage of the unique skill set of freshman quarterback Jalen Hurts. He also had to account for losing a Heisman winner at running back (Derrick Henry) and one of the best offensive linemen in the history of the school (center Ryan Kelly).
