Remember, Ole Miss and Hugh Freeze were on the receiving end of Spurrier’s wit in 2011. It was Freeze’s first visit to SEC Media Days, and Spurrier was wishing he could have the Rebels, just 2-10 the year before, on the schedule.
“You think I make the schedule?” said Spurrier, responding to a question. “If I made the schedule Georgia’d be playing LSU, and we’d be playing Ole Miss.
