Scott Weathersby, who’s mid-season surge lifted him from the Ole Miss bullpen to the weekend rotation, was drafted by the Houston Astros today.
The Astros picked Weathersby, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound right-hander from Hattiesburg, in the 10th round with the No. 289 pick.
Weathersby just completed his senior season with a 4-2 mark and three saves and a 2.62 earned run average in 17 appearances over 55 innings.
Ole Miss has had no underclassmen or signees taken in the first two days of the draft.
