Was former Ole Miss WR Donte Moncrief a victim of racial profiling by NCAA?

Former Ole Miss wide receiver Donte Moncrief feels he was a victim of racial profiling at the hands of the NCAA, he told SB Nation.

While being investigated by the NCAA in 2013 for allegedly obtaining illegal benefits, Moncrief, now a member of the Indianapolis Colts, was deemed ineligible before the Rebels’ game against Alabama. The “illegal benefit” in question was a 2009 Dodge Charger, owned by Moncrief’s older brother, Spencer; the elder Moncrief would allow his younger brother occasional access to the car. SB Nation reported that the vehicle was brought to the attention of the NCAA by someone in Oxford who saw Moncrief driving the car and tipped off the NCAA.
